Budgeting for Design
We offer the best value possible for money we can when designing a new site. However, that doesn't mean we can't accommodate smaller budgets.
Design and Artistic Costs
Design is an art form, and as with all artistic creations, the amount of time taken, and the inherent skill of the artist affect the quality of the piece. In a perfect world our designers would be able to spend as much time as they needed on every piece we complete, but more time commands a higher cost. Designers with greater skill can produce better work in a shorter time, but they command a higher price. In short, fancy designs cost more.
So How Much Do I Need To Budget?
Not every site needs to be design heavy. For example, a website promoting some element of the fashion industry would typically be very focused on design, and may take up 20% of a project's budget. On the other hand, an information portal to supply engineering data will be more focused on supplying information quickly and accurately. As such, the design would be a lower priority and may fall to something like 5% of the project's cost. We will work with you and your marketing department to help work out a design that suits your priorities and budget.
